That is the reason why Monmouth County Referral Group (MCRG) Founding Board Member Ken Scaggs said his group chose to hold a second annual fundraiser, this year dubbed A Night of Hope to Feed the Soul to benefit the JBJ (Jon Bon Jovi) Soul Kitchen at Pazzo Restaurant in Red Bank on Thursday night.  MCRG is a business networking group dedicated to area self-started small businesses helping one another grow and thrive, "especially in an economy like the one we've been experiencing," Scaggs said. Funeral for Red Bank Regional's Albert Martin Set for Saturday

Donations being accepted to Memorial Fund

A viewing and funeral for late Red Bank Regional High School senior Albert Martin will be held Saturday morning at the First Presbyterian Church, 255 Harding Road. The viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon with funeral to follow, said Marianne Kligman, Red Bank Regional community information officer. The shool also has established the Albert Martin Memorial Fund to pay tribute to the senior basketball player, who died suddenly Monday after being rushed to Riverview Medical Center following a scrimmage at the Little Silver school.  Donations are being accepted through the Source foundation, a nonprofit that focuses on youth services. Plymouth Rock Plans Sandy Recovery Information Session

Policy holders invited to Saturday morning meeting in Red Bank

Plymouth Rock customers with questions about rebuilding after superstorm Sandy are invited to an information session Saturday morning in Red Bank. The insurance company will host the "Homeowner Recovery Resource Day" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its offices at 331 Newman Springs Road, Building 3, Red Bank, for any New Jersey policy holders. Plymouth Rock will feature its own representatives as well as professionals from FEMA and the United Way to offer information and answer questions. Real estate, construction, cleaning services, banking and flood insurance representatives also will be present to field questions.
