Little Silver's Mayor Neff Answers Readers' Questions (Part Two)

In the second part to the mayor's answers to Patch readers' questions, Bob Neff addresses borough ratables, idling police vehicles and just who paid for that pink stripe running through the center of town.

This is what we like about Little Silver Mayor Robert Neff, Jr.: Patch asked, he answered. This is the second half of Neff's answers to the over 15 questions Patch readers posed a few weeks ago. Little Silver's Mayor Neff Answers Readers' Questions (Part One)

Little Silver's mayor gives Patch readers the lowdown on borough sidewalks, shared services arrangements and even breaks some news about the reopening of a long-empty commercial space.

Little Silver Mayor Robert Neff, Jr. is nothing if not thorough. A few weeks ago, Patch gave a call out to readers to send Neff any questions they might have about the borough. And boy, did they have questions. We e-mailed Neff about six categories of questions -- from sidewalks to shared services to empty storefronts -- and he took the time to answer them all in detail. In fact, Neff's former newsman days really kicked in because not only did he make a lot of calls and check his facts, we think he may have even broken some news in many of his answers. Mayor Neff - I found this to be so informative. Thanks for taking the time to do it. I'm glad to know the status of gift winds and the Exxon station, which have been bugging me. And your discussion on shared services is an honest assessment of the roadblocks that small town officials face, which are not always translated to the public. Good stuff.   more ›
