A mother and her 10-year-old son were taken to the hospital following an accident in Oceanport Monday afternoon.
A woman and her 10-year-old son were taken to Riverview Medical Center on Monday after the SUV they were riding in was overturned following a collision with another vehicle on Monday in Oceanport. The black Chrysler crossover and a silver station wagon collided at the intersection of Branchport Avenue and Port-au-Peck Avenue around 3:30 p.m. The husband of the woman driving the SUV, who asked not to be identified, told Patch that he was on the phone with his son when the accident occurred. He said they had to crawl out the windows of the overturned vehicle after the car flipped onto its roof. Accident Thursday morning near Red Bank border
Two drivers sustained minor neck injuries when their cars collided Thursday morning at the intersection of Shrewsbury Avenue and North Gilbert Street in Tinton Falls. According to an officer at the scene, a driver heading south on Shrewsbury Avenue crashed into a driver attempting to make a left onto North Gilbert Street. Both drivers had a yellow light, he said. The car making the left had severe damage to its right side and was pushed within inches of a car for sale in the lot of the World Subaru Dealership on Shrewsbury Avenue. Members of Tinton Falls Emergency Services South and North responded to the scene and took both drivers to area hospitals.

None injured in an evening crash in Red Bank that cut power to the intersection of Shrewsbury Avenue and Newman Springs Road.
The driver of a late model Jeep apparently lost control while approaching the intersection of Shrewsbury Avenue and Newman Springs Road before 8 p.m., leaving the road and crashing into an electrical pole. The driver and his female companion were apparently unhurt, both taking turns pacing on a nearby corner, cell phones in hand, and describing the accident emphatically to police taking report. The pole, severed, leaned against the front of the Jeep, sparks shooting off intermittently beneath the vehicle's chassis. The crash resulted in the loss of power to the busy intersection, leading to police helping direct traffic. A driver attempting to pull out onto Rumson Road from Church Street was struck by an oncoming pickup truck.
The driver of a late-model BMW sports utility vehicle was injured when she was struck trying to turn onto Rumson Road from Church Street in front of oncoming traffic late Friday morning in Little Silver. The unidentified female driver was placed on a stretcher and transported to Riverview Medical Center with injuries categorized by a Little Silver police officer on the scene as "minor." The accident occurred around 11 a.m. The driver of the pickup truck said he was traveling east bound on Rumson Road when the SUV attempted to pullout and turn in the west bound direction.
