Little Silver residence forcibly entered during the day Monday, jewelry stolen.
Little Silver Police are on the hunt for the burglar or burglars who snatched an unspecified amount of jewelry from a Lisa Court home on Monday. Police said the house was forcibly entered some time between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. while the residents were out. Officers Paul Halpin and Eric Van Schaack investigated. Residents are asked to contact Detective Greg Oliva with any information and report any suspicious activity to police by calling them at 732-747-5900. Suspects witnessed entering unlocked vehicles and stealing electronics while school was in session.
Two teenagers have been charged with multiple counts of burglary and theft for stealing items from unlocked cars in the Red Bank Regional High School (RBR) parking lot while school was in session. An RBR staff member reportedly witnessed Lauren Papworth, 18, of Atlantic Highlands, and Jason Wilson, 18, of Red Bank, entering vehicles and removing electronics and other miscellaneous items on Nov. 15. The incident was reported to School Resource Officer Peter Gibson, and Little Silver Police arrested Papworth and Wilson on Nov. 17.
