After months of preparation, the final performance of Red Bank Regional's rendition of "Once Upon a Mattress" took place on Sunday afternoon.
Already, questions are being asked... what will they do for their musical next spring that could possibly top this show? It is sad to see so many seniors moving on to bigger and brighter venues, but there is talent among the freshman, sophomores and returning juniors to keep an eye on at Red Bank Regional High School. In this special video preview into Red Bank Regional's production of "Once Upon a Mattress," Dani Berkowitz of Shrewsbury shines in the spotlight as a girl called "Fred" who is sonorously serenaded by Prince Dauntless the Drab, played by Reid Henderson of Avon. The show features music by Mary Rodgers and lyrics by Marshall Barer; the musical is based on the fairy tale book, "The Princess and the Pea" by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller and Marshall Barer. The musical opened Thursday, April 7, and will run throughout the weekend. Showtimes Friday, April 8 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 10 3 p.m. Tickets $15.00 General Admission $10 Students and Senior Citizens
