Wave breaking on house in Little Silver at 8:40 PM, about two hours before high tide. Luckily, the tide crested at the bottom of the top row of bricks, about 14" below the first floor.

Yesterday Point Road students got a personal tour of the Sickles Market Farm with Bob Sickles. In addition to learning about blackberries, tomatoes, deer fences, and irrigation systems, they had a surprise discovery of their own!

Has Little Silver-Oceanport Patch missed a recent event you wish we had covered, or if we were there, did we miss the perfect photo that you were able to get? Well, now we have a solution.

As readers of Patch, you have always had the opportunity to post your photos from an event to our story or photo gallery about the event. But now with the Little Silver-Oceanport Patch Neighborhood Gallery, you also have the chance to upload your photos from around the community that don't fit into a category or story already posted on the site.

Just click on the "Upload Photos & Videos" button on the page—and don't forget to tell your neighbors who's in the picture and what's going on in the caption field.

Here's the follow up to my JCP&L comment as I had to get to an appointment. While typing it, I decide to call the "lack of power" company to double check. Well, not to my surprise, the rep. said it take a week to get the power back due to the storm. Yes, one whole week. I told her that I call this morning, was the first to report the outage, and the rep. then told me around noon. (I wasn't sure how he knew it would be 12 noon when he did not know what the cause of the outage was) Well, I told her that four trucks are literally at the end of the street, replacing a pole. Guess what happened next! The power came back on in the middle of our conversation. This is unequivocal proof of JCP&L's lack of communication not only at the customer level, but even internally.
