I worked at the fort for over 45 years and i know the facilities thru out the post . We had a price in 2009 to replace this bulk head for $ 700,000 you are talking a $ 1,000,000 today This property will never be a profitable business . It needs to be dredged which requires permits etc and is not free. This property should be sold to a developer to build condo's and make boat slips for the condo owners at his expense. We had several vendors try to make a go of this facility we even gave them free utilities and they all left because they couldn't make a profit. Not a good investment for the boro !
