Veterans Day, FMERA Meeting

There will be Veterans Day celebrations across the state on Nov. 11 as honor those who have served in the United States military.

There will be some local celebrations as well, including one at Monmouth University at 9 a.m. Univesity President Paul R. Brown will dedicate Monmouth University’s 9/11 Veterans Memorial during a ceremony that will be followed by the National Remembrance Day Roll Call, a synchronized reading of the names of the service members killed in the line of duty since September 11, 2001.

Oceanport will have its own ceremony at borough hall at 11 a.m. on Monday.

We'll be there and will have a story and photos from the event later today.

There will also be a Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority meeting on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m.
