Little Silver Students To Continue Autumn Window-Painting Tradition

The tradition will continue on Oct. 23.

For over 30 years, Markham Place students have been transforming the windows of downtown businesses with spooky and silly scenes.

That tradition will continue on Oct. 23 under the supervision of art teacher Nicole Lawlor as eighth graders will spread out throughout town and paint businesses' windows.

The students will paint for one day, Oct. 23, with a rain date of OCt. 24, and will arrive at the businesses between 8 and 8:30 a.m. Someone from the business must be present when the students arrive.

The schools provide all of the water-based paint and brushes. If the window is tall, a step stool or ladder must be provided.

The students will complete their paintings between 1:30 and 2:15 p.m.
