Get Out: Take a Buggy Ride, Donate Toys, Sleep Easy

Find out where the fun is at in the Two River area this weekend.

When and where: Friday, Dec. 9 at 5 p.m. at the in Little Silver

Why you should go: The Little Silver Business and Professional Association is offering horse-drawn wagon rides with Santa through downtown Little Silver. Baked goods from and hot apple cider from will be available and some downtown stores will be open late for shopping and meeting local merchants. Christmas Trees can be purchased at the event from the Little Silver Volunteer Fire Department.

When and where: Friday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at  in Red Bank

Why you should go: The Red Bank Catholic High School Dance Department is performing their Holiday Dance Spectacular. If you like the Radio City Christmas Show, you'll be sure to enjoy this! There will be a living nativity scene included in the performance, which the school says represents the true meaning of Christmas.

When and where: Friday, Dec. 9 from 3 to 6 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon at in Rumson

Why you should go: The Rumson (DPW) is collecting toys for children in need throughout the area. Bring new, unwrapped toys and enjoy coffee, hot chocolate and candy canes for the kids. They will also raffle off a gift to one local donator.

What does it cost: One toy or more

When and where: Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at  in Oceanport

Why you should go: The volunteer EMS squad's fundraiser offers the chance to win prizes and gifts from local merchants and buy homemade items from area crafters. Christmas trees, wreaths and grave blankets will be available for purchase, and the squad kitchen will be serving up refreshments.

What does it cost: Free

When and where: Saturday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. at the  in Shrewsbury

Why you should go: Dr. Ahmed A. Fadil, M.D., FAASM, of the Atlantis Healthcare Center in Red Bank will be leading a discussion to help people with sleep issues get the rest they need.
