SLIDESHOW: Little Silver PTO Takes a Taste of the Shore

Teachers and parents converged on the Shrewsbuy Sailing and Yacht Club in Oceanport to celebrate Cinquo de Mayo and night out without the kids.

The Little Silver PTO knows how to time a party.

Saturday night's Taste of the Shore shindig the group threw at the Shrewsbury Sailing and Yacht Club in Oceanport capitalized on a trifecta of party-worthy elements: Cinquo de Mayo, a big full moon and the Kentucky Derby.

At around 8:30 p.m., Kasey Hyman -- who helped chair the event -- estimated there were about 140 people there. But as Patch was heading out around 10 p.m., it seemed like a lot more had arrived and joined the crowd outside on the deck drinking Skinny Girls and Coronas.

We loved that the focus of the event wasn't putting tickets in baskets, but rather to enjoy a night out with friends in a beautiful setting. With no kids. Arriba.
