High Temperatures Expected Throughout Monmouth County

The National Weather Service has issued a heat warning for all of New Jersey, including Monmouth County on Monday through Tuesday.

Break out the environmentally friendly water bottles and fill them with something ice cold.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat warning for all of New Jersey, including Monmouth County on Monday through Tuesday.

Temperatures are expected to reach the 90's, but feel closer to 100 degrees. Hazardous thunderstorms are forecasted Tuesday through Sunday, with temperatures remaining high.

Some precautionary measures the National Weather Service recommends are:

  • drink plenty of fluids
  • stay in an air conditioned location
  • stay out of the sun
  • check on elderly relatives and neighbors
  • do not leave person or a pet inside of a parked car
  • if outside, reduce strenuous activity and rest frequently and stay in the shade
  • wear light-weight and loose fitting clothing
  • please bring pets into an air conditioned location and supply them with plenty of water
  • If someone is having a heat stroke, please dial 911.
