Oceanport's Harry Flaherty, who graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School in 2007, signed with the Dallas Cowboys earlier this week, according to a report on ESPN.com.
The tight end flew out to the team's practice facility in Oxnard, Calif., after their starter suffered an injury that will keep him out of the preseason, according to the article.
The Princeton grad, who's spent time recently working out with the Patriots, signed the contract on Wednesday.
Luckily, Flaherty will be surrounded by familiar faces as his uncles Jason and John Garrett are, respectively, the head coach and tight ends coach for the Cowboys. For good measure, his uncle Judd Garrett is the Cowboys' director of pro scouting.
