Portion of Seven Bridges Road to be Closed Daily through December

Beginning Monday, Oct. 24, and extending through December, Seven Bridges Road in Little Silver will be closed from Rumson Road to so that .

Seven Bridges will be closed every day between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Rumson Road to the driveway entrance of Point Road School. However, the thoroughfare will remain open to southbound traffic until 8:15 a.m. to accomodate parents taking their children to school. After 8:15, the road will be closed off completely.

Little Silver Point Road will be open for parents to pick up and drop off students at school.

Though information sent out via Two River Alert and listed on the Little Silver website Saturday said parents of half day kindergarten and after care students will not be able to use the Seven Bridges Road parking lot on the east side of the school for pick up and drop off, police told Patch Sunday evening that after care parents will have access to the east side lot, as the closure comes to the foot of the driveway there.

"After care will be able to get into the Seven Bridges lot on the east side of the building," said Lt. Joe Mazza in an e-mail. "They will have to travel east on Point Road to Seven Bridges, make a left on Seven Bridges and make the left into the lot off Seven Bridges. The road closure is actually right at that driveway entrance there so that's as far north as you can go."

Mazza said parents of half day kindergarten students are not allowed to use the Seven Bridges lot during the day and advised those parents to pick up students on Point Road as normal.
