PHOTOS: Kids and Cops Picnic at Wolf Hill

Sunshine and burgers made a day of outdoor fun even better.

With the sun beaming and the grill wafting a quintessential summer smell, the mood at Wolf Hill School in Oceanport Friday was enough to make you think summer was making a comeback.

The throw back to vacation couldn't have come at a better time for Wolf Hillers at their annual Spirit Day, catered by Oceanport's finest. With cops on the grill, members of the PTO took turns serving up drinks and snacks, while teachers helped run outdoor games.

Principal Melanie Lipinski, in her day-glo pink socks, looked like an easy target for those kids who hit the books this summer for the reading challenge that gave them a chance at a shoot out with their school leader.
