We waited a long time for spring to arrive, and the Little Silver Palate Kitchen Tour was a perfect way to begin.

On Friday morning, the Little Silver PTO Kitchen Tour Committee must have breathed a collective sigh of relief.  It wasn’t a monsoon when they looked out the window.  In 2008, the last time the Little Silver Palate Kitchen Tour was done it rained and rained and rained.  Today skies were overcast and there was a nip in the air but not a rain drop in sight.

The Little Silver Women’s Club at the corner of Rumson Road and Church Street was transformed into a shopping mecca, with vendors from as far north as Hoboken and down the street on Church providing beautiful merchandise for sale.

Tickets for the tour were picked up or purchased and goodie bags, including an ad journal with a directory to help you get around .

Nora Monaghan of Home Town Design created a map to help you get your bearings and also did beautiful sketches of the homes included on the tour.

The and provided coffee and snacks to get you on your way.

Restaurants from the area provided wonderful fare as you travelled from home to home.  No need to stop for lunch, if you wanted to see all ten homes on the tour, who had time?

Congratulations to the committee, who created a winning combination of beautiful homes, delicious food, and outstanding décor.
