RECORD

5-4-1 overall, 4-0-1 Shore Conference "D" Division
Ranked 84 among NJ high school teams by NJPowerRanking.com

After losing the first three games of the season to tougher "C" division opponents , Manasquan and , the Bucs dropped down to games against their own "D" division opponents and fared better, defeating , Ocean (twice) and Jackson Liberty.

The Bucs are third in the Shore "D" with 11 points through 10 games.

The duo of Joe Franco and Joe Del Sordo have been leading the way on the scoreboard. Franco has 11 goals and Del Sordo leads the assists category with 13, most of them dishes to Franco.

Coach Tim Hall says he is pleased with the way the team has been playing. His initial expectations were to finish the season .500, but the efforts of several players have caused him to rethink what this Bucs team is capable of.

"Nick DeSalvo is having a really good season to this point; scoring points and contributing on the penalty kill," said Hall. "Pat Schroll has really stepped up his game and is turning into one of the better defenders in the division. We have gotten solid contributions from our three transfers: Drue Amato, Keith Guzman, and Alex LaRose."

Starting goaltender Charlie Fox, who Hall says is the foundation of the team, has been excellent, posting a 2.83 goals against average and 92.4 save percentage over 6 games. Backup Austin Ostrander has been phenomenal as well, with a 2.00 goals against average and 92.1 save percentage after 4 starts.

Brothers Jack and Brian Lynch are playing together on the team, each contributing their own respective styles of play.

"Jack is a senior defenseman and co-captain of the team, while Brian is a freshman who has stepped right in to a regular shift as a forward," said Hall.

Friday night RBR plays St. Rose, who lead the "D" with a 6-2 record and 12 points through 8 games. The game begins at 8:15 p.m. at Jersey Shore Arena in Wall.
