Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Markham Place for 'Oz' [VIDEO]

The middle school's annual production takes place Thursday through Saturday.

They're off to see the wizard this weekend at as students present three performances of this year's musical production, Oz.

Not only does the production include inventive choreography, well-rehearsed musical numbers and costumes and scenery produced by Team Files, the music has grown from the standard single piano of shows in years past with the addition of seven student musicians this year.

Patch stopped by practice on Tuesday and was wowed by how great the 7th and 8th grade students sounded and how much it added to the show. Karen Feeney, whohwas played the piano for the Markham shows for 17 years, credited music teachers Jennifer Brush and Stephanie Bennett for preparing the students to take on the challenge of the show.
