Members of the Parker Homestead-1665 Board of Directors will be on hand to discuss the rich history of Ms. Julia Parker, whose ancestors are the founding family of Little Silver and also ancestors of the Sickles family of Sickles Market.
The Parker Homestead is located next to Sickles Market. It was dedicated by Julia Parker, the last surviving owner, to the borough in 1994, one year before she died. It is one of the top three oldest homes in Monmouth County. The Board is currently creating a plan to use, finance and operate the historic property.
