Ditch the Car and Walk or Bike to School on Wednesday

Oct. 3 is International Walk to School Day so stop waiting in traffic and hit the road.

Just when you thought you couldn't take one more morning backed up in a long line of SUVs waiting to make a drop off at school, Wednesday presents the perfect opportunity to get out of line and hit the street, literally.

International Walk to School Day is Oct. 3 and Point Road is encouranging students to walk or ride their bikes to school (the rain date is Thursday, Oct. 4).

Little Silver Police will be at the school offering bicycle registration, rain or shine, on Oct. 3. The school asks that the completed registration form is sent back and a sticker will be sent home to affix to the registered bike.
