Come Meet and Mingle with New RBR Superintendent

New superintendent Jim Stefankiewicz will greet the public and talk about next year's school district budget.

The public is invited to meet the new Red Bank Regional (RBR) Superintendent, Jim Stefankiewicz on Wednesday, March 30, at 7 p.m.

Stefankiewicz will also participate in the presentation of this year’s 2011-2012 school budget, which immediately follows the meet and greet reception.The event takes place in the media center of the high school at 101 Ridge Road, Little Silver, New Jersey.

An Ocean Township resident, Stefankiewicz graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the area of Communications. He holds a Masters of Science in Teaching from Rowan University and a Masters in Educational Administration from Kean University. He is, also, currently a doctoral candidate at Kean University.

Stefankiewicz was the principal in the district from January 2006 until November 2009, when he left the school to take the position of Assistant Superintendent in the Middletown School District.

During his years as RBR principal, Stefankiewicz helped implement numerous innovative programs, which helped the high school improve and excel. These included a Freshman Academy, Smaller Learning Communities, block scheduling, the AVID program and the International Baccalaureate program.

Newsweek identifies RBR within the top 6 percent of high schools in the nation, and New Jersey Monthly has twice listed RBR among the top high schools in the New Jersey.
