Back to School Nights This Week

Moms and dads have classes to change and teachers to meet at back-to-school nights this week.

As parents, we know that this is a busy time of year. There are new schedules to get used to, folders full of forms to fill out and homework, endless homework to monitor. As an added challenge, back to school nights crop up in the midst of all this adjusting, which take more of our time but remind us what all this busyness is really about.

Here's the back-to-school night schedule for local schools this week:

Point Road School

Wednesday, Sept. 19, 7 p.m., "New" Gym

Shore Regional High School

Thursday, Sept. 20, 7 p.m.

Parents and guardians should come armed with their students' schedule, which can be found on Parent Portal. Parents and guardians of freshmen and transfer students are invited to an informational session in the Shore Regional High School Auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

Red Bank Regional High School

From the RBR Web site: RBR's annual Back to School Night will take place on Thursday, September 20 at 7PM. Parents will follow their child's schedule spending 10 minutes in each class. Student schedules can be downloaded through the parent portal. This night is designed for parents to meet their child's teachers and earn about classroom grading policies and procedures. This is not a night for individual conferences. Please know that there will be a 2-hour delayed opening for staff and students on Friday, Sept. 21.
