9 Candidates File to Run for Oceanport BOE

Four open seats in November's election

Nine candidates have filed with the county to run for spots on in the November 6 elections.

Of the petitions filed for (3) three-year seats and (1) one-year seat, three were members currently on the school board.

Spencer W. Carpenter was the only candidate to file an application for the single one-year term on the ballot. Madeline M. Badalaty and Joan Osgoodby-Latacz will be among the eight candidates running for the three-year seats.

There was also just one application from an Oceanport resident to run for the single open seat on the Board of Education.
