RBR and Sickles Market to Launch 'Battle of the Classes’ Sandwich Line

A portion of the proceeds from the sandwich sales benefits the RBR Education Foundation and individual RBR classes.

On Saturday, Feb. 11, and launch their 'Battle of the Class Sandwiches' Contest at Sickles from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Buy your favorite Signature Sandwiches, created by the high school’s individual classes, and help decide the class winner.

The 2012 (Senior Class of 2012)-- Honey Maple Turkey with Mozzarella, arugula, tomato, oil & vinegar on a ciabatta roll?

The 13uc Club (the BUC Club; Junior class of 2013)-- Grilled
chicken with fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, baby arugula, honey mustard on a tortilla wrap?

Pirate’s Pleasure (Sophomore Class of 2014)-- Grilled eggplant with fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers with a balsamic reduction on a hoagie roll?

Or

The Freshman Fiesta (Freshman Class of 2015)-- Grilled chicken, Monterey jack cheese with black bean salsa, avocado, lettuce, chipotle ranch dressing on a sundried tomato wrap?

Make sure you stop off at Sickles for lunch on Saturday to support your class and favorite sandwich. 

A portion of proceeds of all sandwich sales are donated to the classes as well as the RBR Education Foundation. The classes will utilize the funds to defray their activity expenses such as prom costs. The RBR Education Foundation provides grants to fund educational resources and programs for RBR students. The winner of the most-sold sandwiches will be announced at the popular RBR Battle of the Classes spring-time event!

Several Visual and Performing Art students will also participate in the festivities including the RBR Clarinet Quartet. RBR student artists will display their works at the concurrent Artist Weekend program. 

Sickles Market owner Bob Sickles and his staff will join RBR staff, students and administration (including Superintendent Jim Stefankiewicz and Principal Risa Clay) to participate in the contest. RBR Education Foundation executive board members (including President Paul Noglows and Event Chairman Stuart Tartarone) will also be on-hand. Local dignitaries include Little Silver Mayor Robert Neff, Jr. and Assemblyman Declan O’Scanlon.
