Celebrating Pi with Pie at RBR

RBR Celebrates National Pi Day with First Annual Pie-Eating Contest.

Wednesday, March 14, is the day we celebrate that iconic and infinitesimal number 3.14 … or Pi, symbolically written as π. For those of you rusty in mathematics, that was the ancient Greek discovery which enabled mankind to measure the circumference of a circle and led to breakthroughs in the area of mathematics, and by extension, the universe.

Math Honor Society President and Math and Science Academy student Andrew Kamp organized the event to bring recognition to the day and his society.

RBR students grouped around the pie-eating contestants cheering them on, as freshman Luke Laffey, Tinton Falls, and senior Bill Terrarosa, Union  Beach, where victorious in their respective lunch period contests.
