VIDEO: NJ Delegates Gear Up for Christie's Keynote Speech

Republican delegates attending the party's national convention in Tampa this week anticipate the governor's time in the spotlight.

Delegates from across New Jersey who are representing the Garden State at the Republican National Convention share their thoughts on what they hope the rest of the country will learn from Gov. Chris Christie's keynote speech tonight.

did you even READ the story?
Patrick August 30, 2012 at 01:12 AM
it was never banned.

I won my very first horse race bet similarly, except this was at OTB in NYC. I still remember the horse's name 20+ yrs later (Black Tie Affair) What does that have to do with Ann Romney? And I thought Gov Christie nailed it. Funny how perception is so personal.
Stinki Garbaage August 30, 2012 at 11:01 AM
Where are the lower taxes? Don't you recall that we would have seen Town Council rubber stamp a 17% tax increase on us this year? If not for the Gov.'s 2% cap, the bumbling 5 ring + 1 circus, and very active residents, we would have already been paying higher taxes this year. If you live in Lawrenceville, and you CAN'T admit that the governor has fought to lower YOUR taxes this year, then you are lying or not aware of your surroundings.
Stinki Garbaage August 30, 2012 at 11:04 AM
Is it possible that his policy positions are to do what he said he was going to do? Isn't it possible that his actions are producing results because that's what leaders do? Isn't it possible that his decisions are what's best for the people of NJ and are what's actually being ASKED for by the people of NJ? Smaller gov't Lower taxes Plain and simple
NJarhead August 30, 2012 at 11:09 AM
No Patrick, YOU said, "He (Obama) ended one of the wars that was a major cause of the debt, and is getting us out of the other..." That is not true. Who's "willingly ignorant?" The best part is, The President is lying himself about that very thing. Apparently, last night he championed getting us out of Iraq as an accomplishment of HIS administration. That makes him a straight liar.
NJarhead August 30, 2012 at 11:12 AM
SEMANTICS????? Yea, why let a few facts get in the way of a good story. Besides, it's only for "educational purposes" and that's not important, right? Man, you are way too far gone to have any concept of the truth.
Stinki Garbaage August 30, 2012 at 11:13 AM
Simon, seriously? You're going to complain about Obama not being given a honeymoon period when he had both houses of Congress? The problem is that Obama was such a WEAK LEADER that he got his clock cleaned by Reid and Pelosi to get their signature nonsense done. He had both houses of congress and the financial system, housing market, and unemployment were a mess. So he spent the 1st two years ramming through Obama care which no one wanted and half the country now wants repealed. Simon, it is completely inconceivable that you can complain that Obama wasn't given a honeymoon period. If you voted for him, you essentially gave a man who has never had a Value Producing, income generating job in HIS ENTIRE LIFE, and gave him the presidency as a job audition. Nice move! Time to step aside and let leaders lead, and let Obama go make his millions and billions in the Private Sector all the while he will be living off the government teat for the rest of his natural life.
NJarhead August 30, 2012 at 11:14 AM
Yes, did YOU? As I said, you are so far gone you've seemingly learned to immediately dismiss anything that doesn't help your argument whether it be relevant or not. Re-read the article, then re-read what I wrote. While you're at it, you may wish to go back over the facts of the last decade. Your President has brainwashed you.
NJarhead August 30, 2012 at 11:17 AM
Banned no. But it would be illegal to show it in schools without also presenting the arguments against it. Without going back to the article, I believe there were somewhere between 13 & 19 items that Gore added as facts (typical Liberal) that were either not proven or that there were strong scientific arguments against. Sooooo...speaking of "semantics...."
Mac August 30, 2012 at 11:20 AM
So true. So true. What does anything have to do with Ann Romney? And I agree. Christie nailed it. 2016 is now definitely his illusion.
sp resident August 30, 2012 at 11:29 AM
Blah, blah ,blah my property taxes are still high and getting higher!!!!!!!
John Jay August 30, 2012 at 11:47 AM
sp resident -- then get off the sofa and run for office in your town. Organize like-minded neighbors who oppose Obama and his liberty-destroying, Commmunist-inspired, gun-backed tyranny. The only way you can stop the Communist-loving Obama is to get the locals involved. You BLOCK federal tyranny at the state level. What is the Communist-in-Chief Obama going to do? Deploy AMERICAN TROOPS to invade the states who refuse to comply? That will be day! There would be a mutiny and the officers who followed the illegal orders would be rounded up and tried for treason. Don't think for a minute that "plan" has not already been discussed by the Communist-in-Chief Obama.
Patrick August 30, 2012 at 02:14 PM
What part of it isn't true... We are out of Iraq, and ramping down in Afganistan, this happened under his watch... He signed the order. Bush may well have had a plan, but then again he had a plan to protect us from the mushroom cloud of nothingness and cost the lives of so many needlessly. If you are military or former military, why you would be protecting a former President who put so many of your own in harms way needlessly... needlessly. well I have nothing further to say. You can question my patriotism or whatever. But, I support te troops. I want them protecting US. Not getting payback for for some family vendetta or oil. cause it sure wasn't weapons of mass destruction or terror. Also, if you remember it was Bush who had ticked off the Iraq government by not setting a time table. It was Bush who tried to lock us in for Obama's first term, and it was only when Obama had promised in his campaign to withdraw in 16 months di the Status of Forces Agreement happen. That is just fact, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/26/obama-iraq_n_1032507.html
Patrick August 30, 2012 at 02:16 PM
I was responding to the fact that he wrote it was banned... It was never banned. And why I asked if HE even read the story. lighten up Francis.
Patrick August 30, 2012 at 02:18 PM
That isn't banned is it. and it was 7. and non where disproven, it was ruled for one, as I stated, that it wasn't properly contextualized. So do you not believe in global warming ??? was his intent wrong? do you think he meant to lie? or was it that in the span of a film perhaps full context is impossible.
p September 02, 2012 at 02:01 PM
I heard Christie ate one of the slow walking delegates.
Louissa September 02, 2012 at 02:26 PM
I thought Joe McCarthy was dead - but no- he is living in OC going by the name John Jay!!!
Patrick September 02, 2012 at 02:53 PM
Ocean City would make sense... Being as it is one huge nanny coastal community. Residents pay little property tax and get huge kick backs from the state.. And then that billion dollar bridge... But I don't think that faux patriot lives there. And I say faux because no American would call his President a commie... No American would have such little respect for his elected leader. I sure disagreed with Bush, but respected that he was fairly elected, the second time at least. I disagreed with his 200 dollar checks as a cynical give away, and donated the money to a homeless shelter in Brooklyn... But I didn't call him a fascist trying to buy his office. No he was my President.
Louissa September 02, 2012 at 03:24 PM
these phony patriots - tea party Republicans, say all kinds of horrible things about this President - mostly racists remarks - too bad they have taken over the Republican party completely bought and paid for by the Koch brothers Koch brothers own the Republican Party and Mitt Romney
Mrgrumpass September 02, 2012 at 04:47 PM
But the part of your rant here and there is your BS doesn’t hold water, what the Republicans say about BHO is for the most part TRUE. What horrible things do you speak of?
Louissa September 02, 2012 at 05:50 PM

Patrick September 02, 2012 at 08:27 PM
Are you Mexican, Canadian? Cause Obama is the American President... as for the rest. what I could understand is based on what... cause I have looked it up. and I can't find the grand design of Obama to bring America to its knees. But since you aren't American and he isn't your President perhaps you have a better insight from the outside.
Patrick September 02, 2012 at 08:34 PM
