Update: Concession Stand, Restrooms Remain on Schedule in Little Silver

Borough officials hope to have the project completed by mid-October.

Often, in construction, looks can be deceiving.

While it seemed the went up in record time over the summer, progress looked slow of late.

But according to at the Sept. 10 council meeting, despite the project's contractor taking two weeks off at the end of the summer, the building is nearing completion and the project remains on schedule.

"Ironically, it's closer than it looks," he said, explaining that electricians were now working on their portion of the job.

The building mimics the design of borough hall and will include restrooms, a concession stand and storage space for the.

Galante told Patch in an e-mail that the borough engineer anticipated that the project should be completed by mid-October, "including a usable parking lot."

"The final coat on the parking lot will probably be next spring," Galante added, "The building will be done by month's end."
