Monmouth Elder Services Hearing Planned for Wednesday

Residents can offer input during a public hearing at the Agriculture Building in Freehold.

A public hearing will be held on the current and future needs of the Monmouth County elderly on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Agriculture Building on 4000 Kozloski Road in Freehold.

Elderly county residents, their caregivers and the public will be given the opportunity to comment at the hearing.

“Consumer input is vital to the future planning of services by the Office on Aging and is critical in the practical implementation of programs designed for seniors,” Freeholder John P. Curley said in a press release issued by the county.

The hearing is held annually to help the office assess the needs of the elderly, according to the release.

“The session also helps us gauge emerging issues and the impact the services this office provides to our seniors. We find it to be very valuable,” Ruane said.

Written comments will be accepted through the end of the hearing.
