Little Silver House Knocked Down to Make Way for Parking Lot

All that's left Friday morning is a lot of dirt.

Director Anita O'Brien said it felt like "an earthquake" on Thursday when constructions workers knocked down a nearby building to make way for an expanded municipal parking lot.

The borough-owned building at 466 Prospect Ave. was torn down May 24 as work begins to connect a to an existing parking lot and the construction of a storage/restroom/concession structure that will be close to borough fields.

Once again the concerns of the citizens of this town are ignored just like the temporary traffic lights on Branch Avenue. We are becoming so much more urban it is ridiculous. HK
