Introduced Oceanport Budget Shows No Tax Increase

No tax increase for third consecutive year

Oceanport residents will not be seeing an increase in their tax bills if the borough's 2013 municipal budget is adopted next month.

The Oceanport Council introduced the 2013 municipal budget last week and it calls for a tax rate of 50.8 cents per $100 of assessed valuation, for the third straight year.

The budget totals $9.4 million, with a tax levy of $5,182,280, which is a $152,000 decrease from 2012.
