High Tides Could Bring Flooding on Wednesday

The Oceanport Office of Emergency Management issued a weather advisory for residents to prepare for the upcoming nor'easter.

A message from the Oceanport Office of Emergency Management:

Oceanport Emergency Management with a weather advisory. A winter coastal storm will affect our area on Wednesday thru Friday. High Winds will also be a part of this winter weather with gust up to 60 MPH. Snow of 2-4 inches is possible.

Coastal Flood Watches have been issued. Moderate tidal flooding is expected along the Atlantic Coast and Raritan Bay, with pockets of major flooding possible, especially along the NJ coast.

Some minor tidal flooding is even possible as early as the Wednesday morning high tide.

High tide at the Gooseneck Bridge will be 4:41AM on Wednesday morning, 5:16PM in the afternoon. On Thursday, high tide is 5:48AM and 6:23 PM, On Friday 6:53AM and 7:26 PM.

Residents in flood prone areas should monitor weather reports and move vehicles to higher ground if necessary. For those residents who wish to move vehicles to high ground, Blackberry Park,Community Center parking off Port-au-Peck Ave.
