Giblin Resigns as Little Silver OEM Coordinator

Mayor and Council to decide on replacement.

Former Little Silver Police Chief Shannon Giblin has resigned as the Borough's Office of Emergency Management (OEM) Coordinator after six years of service.

Giblin formally tendered his resignation in a letter addressed to Mayor Robert C. Neff, Jr. last week which was read by Borough Clerk Helen Gormley at Monday's council meeting.

"When I retired [as police chief] on June 1, 2011, I agreed to continue as the coordinator as time would permit. I have begun a new chapter in life and due to new job commitments, I find it necessary to resign from that position effective immediately," said Giblin in the letter.
