Suspect Facing Numerous Charges in Two River Area

Kimberly A. Campo of Highlands was arrested on Wednesday.

A Highlands woman arrested Wednesday faces numerous charges in , Shrewsbury and Rumson for breaking into vehicles and stealing items including cash, an EZPass tag and credit cards, which she used to make purchases.

, 71 Bay Ave., Highlands, was arrested March 21 and charged with Burglary (third degree), Theft by Unlawful Taking, Credit Card Fraud and Forgery, according to complaint warrants issued by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

Campo, 27, is charged with entering multiple vehicles on Strauss Drive in Shrewsbury and taking over $800 in various items. She also removed a credit card from one of the vehicles and used it to purchase $272.14 in merchandise.

Campo also allegedly entered five vehicles in Little Silver on March 17 -- along North Sunnycrest Drive and Silverwhite Road -- and taking credit cards, $25 in cash and an EZPass tag.

In Rumson, Campo is charged with using a stolen credit card  to purchase almost $450 of merchandise and signing the card owner's name to the receipt.

The suspect has an inital court appearance set for April 3, according to the complaint warrants.

Campo was being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $15,000 bail.
