TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Comanche Roadwork Begins Next Week in Oceanport

Work will begin on Comanche Drive, between Port Au Peck and Monmouth Boulevard in Oceanport, March 25.

Improvements are coming to Comanche Drive in Oceanport but to enjoy them, residents will have to put up with about a month of detours, according to police.

Work is scheduled to begin along Comanche Drive between Port Au Peck Avenue and Monmouth Boulevard next Monday, March 25, according to an alert posted on the borough's Web site.

The work, which is expected to take about 30 days to complete, will include new curbing, sidewalks and milling of the entire roadway.

Drivers will encounter full and partial closures between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. during construction and should plan alternate routes, police said.

"Motorists that utilize Comanche drive will be directed to travel from Port Au Peck Ave. and Myrtle Ave. to Monmouth Blvd., and conversely from Monmouth Blvd. to Port Au Peck Ave., Branchport Ave., and Myrtle Ave," the release states.

Oceanport Police will monitor traffic volume and control around the area and speed limits will be strictly enforced.

I had my car repaired at Collex and they were a fantastic collision company to deal with. They wereRead More understanding, professional and after the work you could not tell the car was ever damaged. I highly recommend them. PR
