Police: Little Silver Teen Resists Arrest After Breaking into Beach Club

The 18-year old allegedly injured an officer during the July 4 incident in Sea Bright.

A teen allegedly injured a police officer and threw objects at passing motorists after reportedly trying to break into a Sea Bright Beach Club on the 4th of July.

Patrick C. O'Connell, 32 Winding Way, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Trespassing and Resisting Arrest and was held on $25,000 bail.

The 18-year old reportedly entered Driftwood Beach Club on Ocean Avenue while trying to elude officers. According to the police complaint, O'Connell proceeded to throw objects and yell profanities at passing vehicles, creating a "hazardous condition." O'Connell also allegedly injured the forearm of one of the Sea Bright officers during the arrest.
