Oceanport resident arrested for credit card theft in Little Silver

Ursula A. Pappas, 36, allegedly used a stolen credit card to purchase $1,100 worth of gift cards from CVS Pharmacy in Little Silver.

The Little Silver Police Department arrested thirty-six-year-old Oceanport resident Ursula A. Pappas last Wednesday for theft of a credit card, and theft for fraudulent purchases she made, or attempted to make, at local businesses with the stolen credit card.

On Feb. 15, while Pappas was employed as a cashier at a business in Little Silver, she obtained the credit card from a patron for payment and failed to return the card.

Pappas proceeded to use the credit card to purchase gift cards at her place of employment, as well as for a transaction at a nearby business during her break.

The subsequent investigation led to the positive identification of Pappas, who was processed and released pending a court appearance.
