Oceanport Police Blotter: Phone and Internet Scams, Outstanding Warrants

The following arrest information was supplied by the Oceanport Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrest records released by the Oceanport Police Dept. on March 5, 2012.

February 2012: have received reports of fraudulent phone calls and Internet scams. Unknown subject(s) contacted residents on three separate occasions from an out-of-state number, asking residents for personal information. The incidents currently under investigation.

Feb. 21: Ian R. Moore, 27, of Brick was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Eatontown Boulevard at 9:51 p.m. for an outstanding warrant. The accused was charged with contempt of court and released after posting cash bail. Ptl. Chris Magero was the arresting officer.

Feb. 25: Charlie Rodriguez, 46, of Long Branch was arrested at 10:25 a.m. and charged with contempt of court for outstanding warrants following a motor vehicle stop at Oceanport Avenue and Crescent Place. The subject was unable to post bail and turned over to Asbury Park Police. Ptl. Jake Pascucci was the arresting officer.

Feb. 25: Max E. Rolerson, 37, of Long Branch was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Port-Au-Peck Avenue at 5:54 p.m. and further investigation revealed several outstanding warrants out of several jurisdictions. The accused was arrested and charged with contempt of court and released after posting bail. Sgt. Michael Chenoweth was the arresting officer.

March 4: Christopher R. Bills, 29, Eatontown was arrested and charged with DWI following a motor vehicle crash on Port-Au-Peck Avenue at 1:25 a.m. Ptl. Greg Lauretta was the arresting officer.
