Oceanport Police Blotter: Identity Theft, Criminal Mischief and Vandelism

The following arrest information was supplied by the Oceanport Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrest records released by the Oceanport Police Department on April 17.

April 3: Captain Barcus of the Oceanport Police took a report of Identity theft and fraud. According to the report, an unknown subject(s) filed a tax return in the name of the victim. Credit cards were also obtained in the victim’s name without knowledge or consent. The incident is under investigation.

April 6: Oceanport Police Patrols took a report from Oceanport Public Works of criminal mischief and vandalism to the park bathrooms. The report states that around 10:23 p.m. unknown actors entered the bathrooms and threw paper, urine and feces all over the interior walls. This matter is under investigation.

April 7: The report states that Patrols responded to a residence on Ithaca Ave and took a report of theft of $60 and a compact recorder, stolen out of the reporting party’s purse located in her bedroom. The reporting party was asked to leave the home, after a verbal altercation occurred between her and the homeowner. She was transported to police head quarters, where she made arrangements for a taxi to come and pick her up.

April 14: Following a stop for a motor vehicle violation on Port au Peck Avenue, Ramon Olivos, 30, of Long Branch, was stopped for motor vehicle violations. Upon further investigation revealed the driver had an active warrant out of Allenhurst Borough Municipal Court. The subject was arrested, transported to head quarters, processed and released on bail. Patrolman Jake Pascucci was the officer involved.

April 15: Oceanport Police performed a random plate inquiry on the registration of the vehicle and a wanted person hit came back on the registered owner of the vehicle. A motor vehicle stop on Broad Street in Eatontown was conducted and patrol confirmed it was the registered owner. Donica Rodriguez, 42, of Oakhurst, was arrested for the active warrant out of Oceanport Borough Municipal. She was transported to police headquarters, processed and released after posting bail.
