Stable Workers at Monmouth Park Charged With Drug Possession

Oceanport Police say they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the three men's racetrack dorm rooms.

were called to stable area at 9:40 p.m. June 19 when track detectives detained three stable workers on charges of possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia.

According to police records, Faustino Gomez and Jose Rojas, both 26, allegedly had additional marijuana and paraphernalia in their dorm rooms while staying at the track. They were subsequently arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed and released on a borough summons.

Additionally, Jose Arcos, 29, was charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous Substance and was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed and transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institute in lieu of bail.

The arresting officer was Ptl. Gregory Lauretta, who was assisted by Ptl. Jake Pascucci and Sgt. Raymond Ciani.
