Mandatory Evacuation Issued for Little Silver's Flood-Prone Areas

Little Silver officials have issued a mandatory evacuation for residents in low-lying area of the borough to leave by 4 p.m. Monday.

According to the Two River Alert message sent by the following streets are on the mandatory evacuation list:

South End of Prospect Ave  
Seven Bridges Rd Holly Dr to Silverside Ave  
Little Silver Point Rd  
Borden Pl  
Paag La  
Paag Circle  
Breezy Point Rd  
Alwin Terr  
Carriage House La  
Riveredge Dr  
North Riveredge Dr  
Sunnylands Ct  
Edgewood Dr South  
Fairview Ave South  
Tinton Pl  
Holly Dr  
Holly  Tree La  
Lippincott  Rd East  
Pirates Cove

No rescue efforts will be made for residents who choose to stay, according to police, who urge those leaving to make every effort to stay with family and friends.

Those needing shelter must report to Red Bank Regional High School for screening and transportation to local shelters. Residents will not be able to drive their own vehicles and must bring their own medication, bedding, air mattresses, etc. Police stress that space is "very limited."
