Little Silver Police responded to several reports of fraud and criminal mischief last month.
Aug. 3
- A Daniel Drive resident reported criminal mischief after noticing that his mailbox was damaged during the early morning hours. Sgt. Martin Sherzinger investigated.
Aug. 13
- A Prospect Avenue resident reported a theft after discovering a fraudulent purchase made on her Verizon account. Det. Greg Oliva investigated.
- A commuter reported criminal mischief after finding scratches on her vehicle parked at the Little Silver Train Station. P.O. Amanda Arnold investigated.
Aug. 20
- Police arrested a juvenile female, 17, from Fair Haven for alleged credit card fraud following an investigation from an Oceanport Avenue business. Det. Greg Oliva made the arrest.
Aug. 21
- Tara Galen, 35, of Jackson, NJ, was arrested and charged with credit card fraud following an investigation from an Ayers Lane business. Det. Greg Oliva made the arrest.
Aug. 22
- An Eastborne Drive resident reported credit card fraud after discovering that her credit card statement contained unauthorized purchases. P.O. Amanda Arnold and Det. Greg Oliva investigated.
Aug. 24
- A patron of an Oceanport Avenue business reported theft/fraud when she noticed a check she had written had been altered and cashed without her permission. P.O. Joseph Glynn, Jr. and Det. Greg Oliva investigated.

- An Edgewood Avenue resident reported his vehicle and residence had been shot with paintballs. P.O. Amanda Arnold investigated.
