Little Silver Businesses Report Fraud, Harassment

The Little Silver Police Department police blotter included arrests for theft, possession of fraudulent drivers license and DWI.

January 1- A resident from Sherwood Rd. reported Credit Card Fraud when they discovered that an unknown subject was making unauthorized purchases on his credit card. P.O. Eric Van Schaack and Det. Greg Oliva investigated.

January 3- Mark Drzewiecki, 18, of Shrewsbury, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Branch Ave. for Possession of a Fraudulent Drivers License. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

January 3- A Theft was reported after a cell phone had been stolen from a location on Ridge Rd. P.O. Robert Chenoweth investigated.

January 9- A juvenile male, 17, of Red Bank, NJ, was arrested for Theft following an investigation on Ridge Rd. P.O. Robert Chenoweth made the arrest.

January 11- A business on Ridge Rd. reported Fraud/Forgery when an unknown subject cashed checks at a financial institution that were never issued by the victim. P.O. Robert Chenoweth and Det. Greg Oliva investigated.

January 11- A business in Prospect Plaza reported Harassment after receiving numerous harassing phone calls by an unknown subject. P.O. Eric Van Schaack investigated.

January 11- Francis McCann, 20, of Little Silver, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Branch Ave. for an active Contempt of Court warrant out of the Shrewsbury Municipal Court. P.O. Peter Giblin made the arrest.

January 11- A resident from Alwin Ter. reported Harassment after an unknown subject placed several food delivery orders to the victim’s residence without their consent or knowledge. P.O. Amanda Arnold investigated.

January 11- Lauren Warrick, 38, of Long Branch, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Oceanport Ave. for Driving While Intoxicated. P.O. Amanda Arnold made the arrest.

January 12- Kevin Murphy, 53, of Oakhurst, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Oceanport Ave. for an active Contempt of Court warrant out of the Tinton Falls Municipal Court. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.

January 13- Louis Haynes, 24, of Fair Haven, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Branch Ave. for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. P.O. Amanda Arnold made the arrest.

January 15- An employee from a business on White Rd. reported Harassment after receiving several unwanted phone calls from a known acquaintance.  P.O. Andrew Smith investigated.

January 16- A resident on Lovett Ave. reported Criminal Mischief after discovering that an unknown subject caused damage to the fence on his property. P.O. Frank Salerno investigated.

January 17- A business in Prospect Plaza reported Harassment after receiving several harassing phone calls. P.O. Peter Gibson investigated.

January 17- John Anderson, 47, of Rumson, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Church St. for Driving While Intoxicated. P.O. Amanda Arnold made the arrest.

January 18- An employee from a business on Ayers Ln. reported Identity Theft/Credit Card Fraud when a subject obtained the victim’s personal information and made numerous credit card purchases online. Det. Greg Oliva investigated.

January 19- Allyson Bull, 23, of Little Silver, NJ, was arrested following a suspicious vehicle complaint on Essex Dr. for Possession of Marijuana Under 50 Grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. P.O. Joseph Glynn, Jr. made the arrest.

January 22- Casey Lawrence, 20, of Clifton Park, NY, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Branch Ave. for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. P.O. Amanda Arnold made the arrest.

January 25- A business from Oceanport Ave. reported a Theft after discovering that a vehicle had been stolen from the lot. P.O. Peter Giblin and Det. Greg Oliva investigated.

January 25- A Theft was reported after an I-pod had been stolen from a location on Ridge Rd. P.O. Robert Chenoweth investigated.

January 26- A business on Prospect Ave. reported a Theft after money was stolen from a donation jar. P.O. Amanda Arnold investigated.

January 30- A juvenile male, 16, of Red Bank, NJ, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon following an investigation on Ridge Rd. P.O. Robert Chenoweth made the arrest.

January 31- John Sickles, 30, of Oceanport, NJ, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Branch Ave. for Possession of Marijuana Under 50 Grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. P.O. Eric Van Schaack made the arrest.
