Fight at Oceanport Home Yields Two Arrests

Subjects were charged separately with marijuana possession and disorderly conduct.

Two Oceanport residents were arrested and charged separately with disorderly conduct and marijuana possession when police responded to a report of an early morning fight at a Shrewsbury Avenue home on May 14.

According to records, patrols arrived at 532 Shrewsbury Ave. at 1:22 a.m. and found Nolan B. Vill, 21, in an altercation and disturbing the peace while intoxicated. Police arrested him and charged him with Disorderly Conduct. Vill was released pending a court date.

While conducting interviews at the scene, police investigations revealed a leafy brown substance resembling marijuana and arrested Travis T. Trout, 20, of Oceanport and charged him with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance under 50 grams.

Trout was transferred to police headquarters, processed and released pending a court date.

Ptl. Michael Perrulli was the arresting officer in both incidents.
