Bites Nearby: Pinebrook Liquor & Deli

I have always been a big fan of subs and sandwiches in general, so I am always searching for a new place that can accommodate what I am in the mood for -- and the bread quality is key! 

As I try to explore as much of the Jersey Shore terrain as I can, I recently visited Pinebrook Liquor & Deli en route to a friend's house in Eatontown one night. I ordered three subs, all of which were delicious to those that order them, and enough food to save half of the sandwich for lunch the next day. The fresh baked bread was fantastic, too -- did I mention bread quality is important?

A small location on Wayside Road, it stands alone on the corner of Pinebrook Road so it's hard to miss. They feature their liquor store prominently, but you should definitely visit their deli in the back of the store, and grab snacks on the way out (they have a wide variety, so you can find anything you want to pair with a sandwich). 

I personally ordered the Smoked Turkey, asking them to top it with ranch dressing, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and bacon. My friends ordered a roast beef sub with mayo, and turkey with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. 

The rest of their cold sandwich menu is quite extensive like any other deli of substance, featuring Honey ham, ham and cheese, ham, cheese, salami, and pepperoni, smoked Virginia ham, pepper turkey, sliced chicken breast, sliced buffalo chicken, tuna salad, chicken salad, and shrimp salad -- to name a few.

This covers about a quarter of their menu -- they also have a huge hot sandwich section, and also offer breakfasts and sides.  You can go there any time of day for anything you are in the mood for. 

They are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Pop in for for a bacon egg and cheese, pork roll, kielbasa, or pastrami, and a choice of many different sides (think french fries, onion rings, hash browns, buffalo wings, and macaroni & cheese).  I am excited to try the gyro (beef or chicken) on the hot menu, or the chicken parmesan or pesto chicken and rice. 

If you're in the mood for something lighter, they have caesar salad, tossed salad, chef salad, and also feature wraps and homemade soups.
