Bites Nearby: La Rosa Chicken and Grill

I always pass La Rosa Chicken and Grill on my way to work, as it is located conveniently right off the parkway on Asbury Avenue in Tinton Falls, amongst a few other "goodies" in various shopping centers. 

Not sure what I was in the mood for, I figured a place like this would have a lot of variety for me to decide what my palette was craving -- and I was right.  Known initially for their rotisserie chicken, I was bombarded with heavenly aromas upon entering the eatery.  It appears as more or less a "to go" place with tables to sit down if desired -- good to grab if you are both eating solo or with your family. 

This particular day I was looking for something quaint -- so I went for the sandwiches & wraps menu. The initial price for just one item is between $5.99-8.99, but between $8.99-10.50 if you want a choice of two sides.  Looking at all of my options, and decided I was in the mood for Gyro, I ordered the chicken gyro on a pita with lettuce, tomato, and Tzatziki, and a side of garlic parsley red bliss potatoes an freshly made cucumber salad with red wine vinaigrette. 

The additional wrap/sandwich collection includes grilled or crispy chicken, BBQ chicken, Gorgonzola chicken, chicken pesto, buffalo, mexican, steak, and so on.  Other sides available include homemade mash potatoes, corn, black beans, rice pilaf, stuffing, macaroni and cheese, steamed fresh vegetables, string beans, creamed spinach, or sweet potatoes for hot sides, and tomato salad, potato salad, or cole slaw for cold sides.  Just these two menu lists alone can satisfy almost every craving, and this is just a fraction of the menu choices. 

On a lighter (and vegetarian side) the Mediterranean salad is served with romaine, marinated tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, black olives, feta cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette.  The Gorgonzola salad also sounds delightful, with mixed greens, dried cranberries, honey roasted walnuts, bacon, red onions, crumbled Gorgonzola cheese and balsamic vinaigrette.  They also have the typical Caesar salad, and basic garden salad.  All salads can be available in a "side salad" portion as well.

But on to the good stuff.  La Rosa has a whole other mouth watering section of their menu, featuring roasted chicken (whole, 1/2, or 1/4), baby back ribs, Platters that are served with corn bread and two sides, finger foods (think french fries, buffalo wings, and chicken fingers), and a kids' menu. Their char-grilled burgers include your basic Hamburger, but also offer a chicken burger, a Gorgonzola burger, and BLT burger. (Noted: You can add bacon to any of them. Sounds right up my alley).

La Rosa Chicken & Grill caters to "on the go" eaters, or anyone who wants to go out as a group or plan a party, with additional locations for your convenience in Marlboro, Freehold, Madison, Manalapan, Moorestown, and "coming soon" to Wayne.  It's definitely worth trying!
