Borough Emergency Radio System

The Borough Emergency Radio System is also in operation and residents can tune into 1610 AM on their home radio for emergency information and weather updates 24 hours of a day.

Coastal Flood Evacuation Routes:

Oceanport Emergency Management has placed Coastal Flood Evacuation signs showing safe routes out of the flood areas of Oceanport. The signs have been posted on Comanche Drive, Port-au-Peck Avenue, Branchport Avenue, Monmouth Boulevard, Myrtle Avenue, East Main Street, Oceanport Avenue, Bridgewaters Drive, Riverside Avenue, Hazen Drive, Main Stree, Shrewsbury Avenue and Eatontown Boulevard.. Residents are directed to travel west on Port-au-Peck Ave to Eatontown Boulevard, or west on Main Street which will access State Highways 35, 36, 71 and 18.

Community Emergency Response Team:

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), made up of your fellow borough residents is functioning and recently assisted during the Water Main Break with around the clock distribution of water at the Shrewsbury Borough Hall complex and deliver of water to the Oceanport Senior Citizens. They have also assisted in Safe School exercises. Residents, 18 years and older, who would be interested in joining the team and being part of this valued community based program should call the Oceanport PD for further information. Emergency Operations Center:

An Emergency Operations Center has been established at the Oceanport Hook and Ladder Firehouse on Main Street. It will be operational during times of emergency, due to major events, natural or man-made disasters. It will also serve as a secondary dispatch location for the police department.
