Obituary: Pearl Patterson, 85

The deceased was born in Little Silver and lived in Lakewood before moving to Toms River.

Pearl Patterson, 85, of Toms River died on Saturday, May 19 at home surrounded by her family.  Patterson was born in and had lived in Lakewood before moving to Toms River 11 years ago.  She was a homemaker.

Patterson was predeceased by her husband, Raymond W. Patterson in 2009, a brother, Harry Gilbert, Jr. in 1944 and a sister, Marjorie A. Poppe in 2001.  She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Surviving are four daughters, Linda Patterson and her longtime companion, David Weeden of Toms River, Joy Colbert of Toms River, Sharon Hasperg and her husband, Keith of Cheshire, Massachutes and Diane Jackson and her husband, Daniel of Toms River; seven grandchildren, Theresa Browne and her husband, Kevin, Patricia Lasalla and her husband, Karl, Kurt Hasperg and his wife, Melissa, Stacey Volfson and her husband, Vitaly, John Colbert, Jr. and his wife, Amanda and Nicole Hasperg and Keith S. Hasperg; and 10 great grandchildren, Trevor, Kylie, Taylor, Gavin, Brynn, Gabriella, Owen, Kendall, Chelsea and Carter.

Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Rd. (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, May 22 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 23.
