Obituary: Alexandre Carlos Grilli, Little Silver Resident and Church of the Nativity Communicant, Dies at 76

The long-time Little Silver resident died on Tuesday, Feb. 26.

Alexandre Carlos Grilli, 76, who lived with his wife of 53 years in Little Silver, died on Tuesday, Feb. 26, according to Legacy.com.

Until recently, Grilli was an avid soccer player and played with local club teams. He was also a communicant at the Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven and enjoyed spending time at Monmouth Park and greeting fellow diners each day at Edie's Luncheonette in Little Silver.

Carlos is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maria; a son, Alexandre of Little Silver; two daughters, Diane and husband Richard Tobin of Little Silver and Arleen and husband John Byren of Fair Haven; sister, Neusa Gama of Vero Beach, FL and seven grandchildren, Bridget, Michael, Brian, Drew, Will, Kyle and Nicole.

There are no visitation hours. There will be a memorial mass celebrated on Friday, March 1st, 11:00 AM at Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Rd., Fair Haven. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in his memory to Jason's Dreams, 20 Monmouth St., Red Bank, NJ 07701 or online at www.jasondreamsforkids.org. Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank was entrusted with his arrangements.
