Frank A. Ambrosino, Former Fire Chief of Little Silver Laid to Rest

Prospect Avenue between Markham Place and Kings Road in Little Silver was closed for a short time this morning.

An American flag was suspended from the ladders of fire trucks from Shrewsbury and Long Branch this morning to honor former fire chief of Little Silver Frank Ambrosino, who passed away on May 10, 2011.  Frank was an ex-chief and ex-president of the Little Silver Fire Department and a life member of the Little Silver Fire and First Aid Departments.

Frank was a member of the Knights of Columbus' Red Bank Council and coached the Little Silver Women’s Softball. He was also an avid golfer who always enjoyed a golf outing with his friends.

On the Little Silver Fire Department web site, the fire department expressed their gratitude to Frank. “ We are grateful for the service Frank so enjoyably gave to both the Little Silver community and to our family within the Fire Company. Our thoughts and prayers are extended to Frank and all who knew him.”
