Electrical Engineer for Fighter Jet Dies at 82

Alexander Kraus served in the U.S. Navy.

Alexander F. Kraus, 82, of Oceanport, died Friday, July 12 at Monmouth Care Center, Long Branch. 

He was born in Bronx and lived there and in Fair Lawn before moving to Oceanport in 2000.

Alex retired in 1996 at the age of 65. He was an electrical engineer working on the F15 Fighter jet radars systems. He retired from a subsidiary of BAE Systems. He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Theresa Krause.

Surviving are a sister, Catherine Pasztellak, a brother, Rudolf V. Kraus; a nephew and 2 nieces, Rudolf V. Kraus, Jr., Patricia Goodman and Barbara Reagor and 3 great nephews and a great niece.
